Custom iPhone notifications: setup and limits

Create an iPhone notification with your own photo and text, then check permissions, lock screen settings and iOS limits.

Quick answer

Heypush lets you create local iPhone notifications with your own photo, title, message and timing. Whether you see them on the lock screen also depends on iOS notification settings and Focus modes.

Prepare your iPhone for a test

Allow notifications when iOS asks. If you previously declined, open Settings and review the notification options for Heypush. Decide whether message previews should be visible while the phone is locked: the most convenient option may not suit a private reminder. Menu locations and labels can change with your iOS version.

Create a recognizable message

Try a short title such as “Time for a break” and one clear instruction in the message. Choose an image that remains recognizable at avatar size, then send a test. Next, when use is unlocked, schedule a short timer and lock the phone. This checks the actual arrival rather than only the editor preview.

Work within iOS behavior

The system still draws the notification; a custom picture does not make it a real message from another service. Tapping an iPhone notification opens Heypush before following a configured link or app destination. If an alert is quiet or presented differently than expected, review Focus and display options before creating duplicate reminders.

Common questions

Can I recolor the whole iPhone notification banner?

The banner background is controlled by iOS. Customizing content does not replace the system’s notification design.

Why is the message hidden while my phone is locked?

Preview and privacy settings may hide notification content. Review them, then repeat the test.
